I had no idea
till this morning (Sydney Time} that Cody has passed away in
2001.
I have no idea what happened to this incredible young dude
who was an inspiration worldwide to thousands of teen guys
and adults alike.
I was regular visiter to the site till the end of 2000 when
we had to move and have only occasionally visited it since
like I did this morning because of restricted internet
access.
Cody was breath of fresh air to me and a consatnt reminder
that many of us although different in our lifestyles,we can
be what we want to be and be proud of who and what we are,
Cody seemed to fight for that quality.
I never knew him personally but was inspired by him when
things got tough.
I would like to know what happened to him, not because I'm
prying, but because I was so shocked this morning when I
found out and Cody was someone I respected in life. |

Two weeks ago,
I helped deliver the eulogy for one of my childhood friends,
someone who died young and unexpectedly. For days and days,
the hole left by him just would not be filled, and resistd
covering over. A caring and selfless gay man, he managed to
touch the lives of many in this community. His natural
family and his gay family grieve together. And last night, I
came upon this beautiful tribute to another young man, who
leaves family and "family" to ask "Why?" Keeping this site
alive in his place is a loving endeavour, and I can offer
only the same to you that I said to my gatheredd friends at
Alan's memorial:
If you really want to create a tribute to our friend,
remember that, like him, whenever there is hurt in the world
that you can do something about, reach into yourself and
give a little bit of your heart away. You can spare it, as
these two young men have shown. Because they have proven
that it grows back, sometimes bigger than before.

I found this
site when I did a google image search for "belly button."
There was a rather attractive fellow in a photo, and I
followed it here.
I apologize if you feel that I'm intruding, or putting words
where people who knew Cody should have their's, but I'm
leaving my thoughts here anyway.
To you-who's keeping this site going-you're amazing; what
you're doing is amazing. It's one thing when a young person
leaves, but it's another when he leaves, and the rest of us
forget he was ever there. But from the bit I've snooped
around here-Cody seems to be unforgettable.
From the words he's left, it seems that he has an amazing
heart, a mind that's wide open, and a great deal of passion
for life-the makings for a truly beautiful human being.
The pictures show he's just as fantastic on the outside as

seemed like an awesome dude. And he is good-looking, no
matter what he thought. I have not lost anyone in my life as
Cody's close friends and family have, and I express my
deepest sympathies. I was curious of what type of accident
it was. Drunk driving? Those are the worst. The precious
gems that are born into the world are often torn away by the
"ugly" or crude things humans do. I'm disappointed that I
never had the priveledge of knowing him, and never will get
the chance. Chill out people.

I have only

I don't know
what to do anymore. I feel like I am chained down to this
dark and cold world. I feel so alone and annoyed. And I
cannot do one thing about it. I don't have the option to
speak my mind on things that happen. I feel so isolated and
no one can help me. No one at all. I keep on hoping and
hoping. Until I finally question Hope itself. But I hear
nothing but the weak beating of my heart. No answers to my
questions... No end to my suffering... I don't even know why
I still try. I see no point in my sacrifices. But I still
see myself pulling on the chains that keeps me in the
shadows of existence... I cry and cry until tears of blood
slowly slides down my cheeks. I feel so numb. I cannot feel
the pain anymore. I do not know if this is a good thing or
bad thing.
My heart cannot withstand the grip that life has on it. No
one can hear the begging of my soul. No one can see the pain
and misery that my heart and mind is going through. Do they
care? Do they know? Do I even exist? Those are the questions
that runs in my mind.
I fear that I will always be trapped within my own
depression and sorrow. I fear that I will live with the
pain. I fear that I will always be alone. I am only asking
for the love of one person. Someone that will love me and
accept me for the one inside. But does such a person exist?
I do not know... I just do not know...
I do not know why I am telling you this. But I felt like I
had to. I don't know. I don't know why it felt so
appropriate. |

how muth I liked the page and he wrote back. Thats how we
became friends. When Cody didn't write back for a time I
thouth it's becouse he was 2 buzzy. I'ts was quite a shock
when I read on the site that Cody was not with us eny more.

Dear Captain,
reading your page and getting to know you at least a bit has
changed my life. ALL YOU SAID IS RIGHT!
The way you express your attitude an your opinions helped me
to solve a time in my life that was very difficult for me.
And like Mr.B I can just say: "How could I ever hope to

I do not need to be afraight of death cos I know who is

i think this

The saddes
thing i ever experience is learning that Cody died on my
Birtday...November 3, I turned 19 the day he moved on...to
think at that time i was partying and drinking with friends
and in the otherside of the world a wonderful guy that ever
lived was struggling for his life. I wished that i got to
know back then instead of what he is. I envy him for having
such wonderful friends...through his friends his legacy
would carry on. He will never be forgotten and his memory
will always be remember. Steve if your reading this...your a
Goodfriend to Cody...both you guys are lucky to have met
each other. Cody seemed to had been a very cool dude. May
his soul rest in peace...I will pray for him always. |

Wow! After two
long years of silence, I find Cody has left us and hopefully
for a better place than he left. I'm deeply saddened that he
is gone and in such a violent way. I never met Cody, but I
am one of the many that will always wish that he had. Such a
beautiful person in his life and work that it hurts me
deeply to know he is gone. Read his writings and cherish his
sayings and his name and spirit will always live in us and
through us. Sexual preference has no meaning here, only the
truth that Cody was a loving and caring person...a person we
all want to have on our side when the chips are down. This

Jeez what can
I say, Cody seemed to have a fair bit sorted out about
himself and yeah maybe not totally (but who has). He was
happier in his short life than i have managed to achieve in
42 years. I skirted around ever emailing him and used to
speak to a few of his friends. I am going put this link on
my site. If you wish me to remove it please let me know. I
think he will stay in my mind for some of the words he wrote
about life and enjoying it. Go see what i said about him if
you want on my
website. Cody definitely remains in many peoples
hearts including mine.

the web and came accross this site, i am 29 own my own
funeral company, and was vey touched by the tribute to cody,
so much so that i dont normally sign any guest book but i
