Christmas, mate, and a season you relished as an excuse to
fuss over your family and friends. The Ohio Gang sent me a
ceramic heart-shaped frame with your pic inside. It's
hanging on my computer desk. There's a banner across the top
that says "Forever in Our Hearts", and a sprig of Holly to

There's always
need for this kind of "self-love" teachings. I'm deep in my
self awareness work and i can tell that it was a surprise
for me to find this mr.b site with such lovely people
described in the stories. Guys who struggle apparently with
the stereotypes of the people and their Judgements. Instead
i'ts their self love that needs to improve at the maximum.
People who make our lives difficult are only mirrors for us,
(that's whath i learned for myself, and works) our emotions
are worth
to work onto. I've loved so much the Cody story and all
others too. i'll try to write something more next if
possible, and also share thougths with all the loving people

I just read RJ's comments and yes, you were far from the
common man. I hope you haven't told God too much about me...
being a bit of a wally and all. It's with some embarrassment
that I remember the days when I called you 'Scrumptious' and
carried on like a Cody Groupie. But you didn't mind. You
realized that I was a tad loopy and eccentric, but you

I can only hope that everyone who knew Code still realizes

I was on senior retreat 7 years ago today, I remember when I
heard, when I heard what happened to you some time later. I
had to walk down to get ice cream to try to clear my head. I
remember thinking "Oh shit Cody, I'm so sorry" I can even
remember where I was, I was between Morningside and Woodman
Road on Fisk Street, across from this Duplex I always liked,
it was night time, the leaves were down, and it was cold and
crisp outside. I wasn't able to clear my head that night,
I'm not able to clear it now. It's hard to think that was 7
years ago, so much has changed in all our lives, and you are
still missed. If you haven't met him yet, go look up my
father, I think you two would get along alright.

that snatched you away from us - although not entirely. You

WOW its so
good to see that the site is still up and running. When I
was in my early 20ies I use to visit Cody's Pad and loved to
read the stories that Cody and TJ had published and to OOGLE
at the photos too. Cody your a true inspiration and truly
missed. I did visit the site many years ago not long after
Cody had past on and I cried. I only googled Cody's site
today as I was listening to a song that really made me think
of of him for some reason "Skid Row's - 18 and life " Ok the
lyric don't quite tell the story of Cody as he is not the
type to shoot someone or be an alcoholic but it the song
does tell the story of a young man who lived life to the
fullest and thats what made me think of Cody. Cody I thank
you for just being you and for all your stories. They were a
great help to me to just escape the real world for a bit.

Hiya Cody,
I was thinking about you today while sitting in class. I was
thinking about Steve too. How much I owe the both of you,
and my hope to someday repay you for it. I can remember when
life was really going up into the rocks, how much you're
story helped me, and then talking to Steve, and Gary too.
Hard to imagine that was 7 years ago. I didn't think I was
going to make 18, and now I'm 24!

I really did
"just surf in". I just kept reading, and reading, and
reading, and found myself in absolute tears! My perfect
condolences to you, Cody's dear friends, on the loss of such
a magnificent boy. In a world of such lecherous
superficiality, it's almost painful to know that there was

I first saw
Cody's webpage many years ago, 1998 I think. I enjoyed
visiting occasionally and reading the stories and news of
what Cody was up to. He always seemed like a nice guy who
was genuinely happy and loved life. I liked that a lot
because I was very unhappy with my life at that time. I
can't remember when I last saw Cody's webpage, maybe the
summer of 2000. Tonight I stumbled onto the link again and
was very saddened to read of Cody's death. Too many
beautiful people are taken far too soon. Thank you Cody, for
being a little ray of sunshine into my life during a dark
time. The world was a better place while you were here. |
